Short answer: most Ray-Ban Meta owners need four kinds of accessory: a way to charge away from the case, fit fixes (nose pads and ear grips) so the glasses stop slipping, lenses (prescription, polarized or clip-on), and a hard case for travel. Before you buy any of them, find your frame model and size, because lenses and nose pads are cut for specific frames.
This guide is organized by the problem you want to solve, with a fit table built from model codes, which most accessory guides leave out. For what the charging-case lights mean, see Ray-Ban Meta Charging Case Lights.
Step 1: find your frame model and size
Ray-Ban frames usually show the model code on the inside of the temple arm. Match it to this table before ordering lenses, clip-ons or nose pads:
| Frame | Size (lens–bridge, mm) | Model codes |
|---|---|---|
| Wayfarer, standard (M) | 50–22 | RW4006, RW4012 |
| Wayfarer, large (L) | 53–22 | RW4008, RW4012 |
| Headliner, standard | 50–23 | RW4009, RW4013 |
| Headliner, low bridge fit | 51–23 | RW4009F, RW4013F |
| Skyler | – | RW4010, RW4014 |
Codes and sizes are taken from the fitting notes on our lens listings. Some accessories fit only one generation (Gen 1 or Gen 2), so check the fit line on each listing.

Charging accessories
Meta’s own position is that the charging case is the only way to charge the glasses (Meta). Third-party docks and cables connect to the same contacts on the nose bridge. They are handy for a desk, a nightstand or travel, but they are not made or approved by Meta.
- RGB Charging Stand ($35.99): a display stand for Wayfarer, Headliner and Skyler, with a USB-C cable included.
- Direct USB-C Charging Cable ($37.99): listed for Gen 1 and Gen 2 Wayfarer, Skyler and Headliner, plus Scriber, at 5 V / 2 A, with a full charge in about 75–100 minutes.
- USB-C Charge-While-Wearing Cable & Case ($20.99): a leather case with an extension cable that runs from a power bank, laptop or phone. The listing says the glasses light shows yellow while charging and green when done.
- AMVR 2-in-1 Magnetic Dock ($72.99): charges the glasses and the case at the same time.
All options: charging docks and cables.
Lenses: prescription, polarized and clip-on
Prescription lenses
Custom Prescription Lenses for Wayfarer, Headliner and Skyler ($40.99) are made to your prescription. You enter SPH, CYL, axis and PD for each eye at checkout. The listing supports prescriptions up to 8.00 sphere and 4.00 cylinder. For Wayfarer and Headliner there is also a prescription replacement lens ($40.99) with color-changing, anti-glare and blue-light options.
Polarized and tinted replacement lenses
Polarized UV Replacement Lenses for Wayfarer ($18.99) come in M and L sizes and four tints: grey, brown, yellow and red. Polarized lenses cut reflected glare from water, snow and wet roads.
Clip-on lenses
Clip-ons add a tint without removing your lenses, which suits prescription wearers. The Hibloks Polarized Clip-On for Wayfarer (Standard) ($18.99) weighs 6 g and fits RW4006/RW4012. One catch from the listing: its holder fits the glossy frame finish only, not matte.
All options: replacement and prescription lenses and clip-on lenses.
Fit and comfort
Ray-Ban Meta glasses carry a battery, speakers and electronics in the frame, so many owners find they slip more than ordinary glasses. Start with the cheapest fix:
- Silicone nose pad stickers for Wayfarer ($3.99, 4 or 10 pieces) add grip where the frame sits on your nose.
- Hibloks airbag nose pads for Wayfarer Gen 2 ($32.99) lift and cushion the frame if it sits too low or presses.
- Comfort silicone ear grips ($2.99) hook behind your ears to stop forward slide during sport.
- Hibloks silicone temple covers ($16.99) add grip along the arms for Gen 1 and Gen 2.
Keep pads and grips clear of the metal charging contacts on the nose bridge. Meta notes that dirt and debris there can stop the glasses charging. All options: ear grips and nose pads.
Cases and protection
The charging case is bulky, so many owners carry a slimmer hard case for the glasses alone.
- Hard Protective Travel Case ($13.99): 20 × 8 × 7 cm, for Wayfarer, Headliner and Skyler.
- EVA Hard Carrying Case ($12.99): 18.5 × 10 × 7 cm and about 130 g.
- Shockproof EVA Hard Case ($13.99): 20 × 8 × 7 cm.
These cases protect the glasses; they don’t charge them. All options: cases for Meta glasses.
Starter kits by situation
| You are… | Get first | Then consider |
|---|---|---|
| A daily commuter | Hard travel case ($13.99) | Polarized lenses for driving glare |
| A runner or cyclist | Ear grips ($2.99) + nose pad stickers ($3.99) | Direct USB-C cable for top-ups ($37.99) |
| A prescription wearer | Custom prescription lenses ($40.99) | A polarized clip-on for sun ($18.99) |
| A frequent traveler | Mini travel charging dock ($18.99) or charge-while-wearing cable ($20.99) | EVA hard case ($12.99) |
| Working at a desk | RGB charging stand ($35.99) | Blue-light prescription lenses |
What to avoid
- Anything that covers the charging contacts on the nose bridge or stops the case lid closing.
- Storing other glasses in the charging case. Meta warns it can damage both the case and the glasses.
- Covering the capture light. The light on the frame tells people nearby that you are recording. We don’t sell products designed to hide it.
- Buying lenses without checking size. A Wayfarer M lens won’t fit an L frame.
Keeping Ray-Ban Meta glasses in good shape
- Wipe the nose-bridge charging contacts regularly. Meta lists sweat, dirt and liquid there as a cause of charging errors.
- Clean lenses and the camera window with a dry microfiber cloth, such as AIGLASSZ Care CA12. Avoid household cleaners on coated lenses.
- Keep the charging case out of heat. Meta says a hot case stops charging the glasses.
- Fit new lenses on a clean, soft surface, and press evenly around the rim rather than on the centre of the lens.

Frequently asked questions
Do Gen 1 accessories fit Gen 2 Ray-Ban Meta glasses?
Often, but not always. Many charging and comfort accessories are listed for both generations, while some lenses and nose pads are cut for one. Check the fit line on each product page.
Can I put prescription lenses in Ray-Ban Meta glasses?
Yes. Replacement prescription lenses are made to your prescription and sized to your frame model. Have your prescription and pupillary distance (PD) ready.
Are these accessories made by Meta or Ray-Ban?
No. They are third-party accessories designed to fit Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses.
What is the best first accessory to buy?
If your glasses slip, nose pad stickers or ear grips cost under $4 and fix the most common complaint. If you travel, a hard case comes next.
